Last night I set up my tripod in the front yard and played around with taking pictures of the plants outside our front door. These hydrangea skeletons look mysterious and antiqued. Soon they will give way to fresh growth.
Jeff planted this hellebore for me on Valentine's Day three years ago and it has proudly bloomed each February since. I adore the color of these flowers; it is somewhere between chocolate brown and eggplant, so rich and velvety.
